Issues in Spring Hill

Our community is facing challenges that require solutions.

Our infrastructure is under immense stress, struggling to keep pace with the rapid and aggressive growth allowed by previous BOMAs.

Addressing our challenges as mayor requires practical, achievable actions and collaboration with city departments, stakeholders, and residents.

Improving Stressed Infrastructure

  • Working to expand Spring Hill's water, wastewater, and sewer plants

  • Complete phase two of the Buckner Lane expansion project

  • Continue partnering with TDOT and the GNRC to prioritize widening Highway 31 and Interstate 65

Managing Aggressive Growth

  • Appointing citizens to the planning commission who share my concerns to not allow residential building to continue to outpace infrastructure

  • Only voting for projects that enhance infrastructure and benefit the people who already live here

Strengthening Public Safety

  • Continue to allocate funds to our police officers and firefighters for properly upgrading their equipment and bringing on new staff

  • Continue to support ongoing training programs and incentives to retain skilled first responders

Securing Non-Property Tax Revenue

  • Continue to actively seek out non-property revenue through state and federal grants

  • Promote local businesses and events to help the economic development of our community
